World Ballet Series is ready to bring the timeless tale of Swan Lake to stage as they perform the classic piece in front of the Georgian balletomanes titled “World Ballet Series: Swan Lake” on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Johnny Mercer Theatre, Savannah, Georgia. The 50-phenomenal ballerinas from all over the world are ready to make Savannah feel the combination of romanticism and tragedy by their poised moves for everyone to experience.
Following with a new production, World Ballet Series choreographer Nadezhda Kalinina will take the stage performances to the roof with her inspirations from the foundations of classical ballets. The ballerinas will also be dressed by Sergei Novikov who ensures that the costumes are hand-painted and hand-sewn for the fans to appreciate. Combined with the good acoustics and sound effects, the award-winning SFC make-up Irina Strukova sets the venue on ethereal state to bring the best music possible to give justice to Swan Lake as one of the classics in ballet history.
Swan Lake is a classical ballet masterpiece composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky that revolves around the story of good and evil and the consequences of love and betrayal. It follows the story of Odette who falls in love with a prince but is terrorized by a sorcerer and his daughter, Odile. The characters of Odette and Odile are played by the same ballerina, highlighting the talents and versatility of the performance to an extent.
Andrea Lassakova will star in Swan Lake in Georgia as Odette/Odile. Remarked as a ballet virtuoso, she will be the frontrunner of the World Ballet Series gracing the audiences with their captivating performances.
