Emerging from Conyers, Georgia, in 2011, Teddy Swims spent the early years of his career singing for rock and metal bands. He also did some stints of singing R&B and soul with a few other acts. In 2019, Swims started to release notable covers of well-known hits and uploaded them on YouTube. His distinct vocals made him a standout in the circuit. By 2021, he was signed to the major label Warner Music.
