Dubbed by SonicAbuse as "a rarity in a world where celebrity is often prized higher than artistic growth," Joe Bonamassa is one of the best blues artists of all time. With his signature fedora hat, the guitar-slinging two-time Grammy award-winning artist began his professional music career in the dawn of the 2000s with his debut album "A New Day Yesterday." The 13-track album introduced Bonamassa's incredible songwriting and musicality to the world.
Over the years, Joe Bonamassa released numerous solo albums and collaborations with other artists. In fact, one of his best-selling albums is "Don't Explain," a collaboration with the American singer-songwriter Beth Hart. Released in 2011, the record is a cover album of some of the best songs from the greats like Ray Charles, Bobby Bland, and Aretha Franklin. "Blues of Desperation" is another notable album from the virtuoso guitarist. Selling over 10,000 copies, the album is the twelfth solo record of Bonamassa, released in 2016. It reached the charts in many territories, peaking at #1 in the Swiss Albums, #2 in the Billboard US Top Rock Albums, and #3 in the UK Albums.
Bonamassa's recent album, "Time Clocks," released in 2021, proved once again that he is indeed on top of his game. With the success of his fifteenth studio album, the Grammy-nominated guitar-slinging star still holds the record for most number 1 albums in Billboard's Blues Album Chart — a feat that no other artist has done.
Dubbed by All Music as "a moody, cinematic record," the album debuted at #7 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, sitting side by side with The Grateful Dead, Megan Thee Stallion, Ed Sheeran, and The Beatles. The title track, along with "Notches" and "The Heart That Never Waits," made the album stand out, making it sit atop the Billboard Charts — the 25th time in Bonamassa's career.
This 2023, fans will be able to hear the songs from "Time Clocks" to be performed live by the guitar virtuoso in the strings of shows across the country. Catch the 45-year-old blues star on November 28 at the Johnny Mercer Theatre. Enjoy a night of certified Bonamassa hits on this incredible Tuesday night. Tickets are now on sale.
