This 2023, Lyle Lovett brings a scaled-down version of his Big Band as he makes several stops around North America with his Acoustic Group. Sensational singer-songwriter and record producer Lyle Lovett has been creating exemplary hits since 1980. His impressive music career has produced 13 critically-acclaimed studio albums and received four Grammy Awards, including Best Male Country Vocal Performance in 2022. During the 80s, Lovett established himself as a Texas-based folk performer. He started jamming music with several notable musicians, such as Ray Herndon and Grammy Award-winning artist Matt Rollings. Lovett then began a phenomenal career performing with a backing band.
In 1989, Lovett recorded and released Lyle Lovett and His Large Band. The album became a gold-certified record in Canada and the U.S., selling more than 500,000 copies. The album debuted at number 10 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart and peaked at 62 on the Billboard 200. Throughout the ‘90s, Lovett continued releasing critically-acclaimed records, all of which earned gold status in the U.S. His 1996 album, The Road to Ensenada, peaked at number 4 on the Country Albums chart, his highest in the decade. However, this record was beaten by his 2007 album, It’s Not Big It’s Large, which peaked at number 2. Lovett and His Large Band recorded the album live in the studio.
