The Seattle-born sextet made their debut in 2011 when they dropped their self-titled album. The effort peaked at number 3 on Billboard’s Top Folk Albums and entered the Billboard 200, landing at a humble number 109. However, this stellar debut has put the band on the music map. Their debut single, “Lost In My Mind,” topped the Adult Alternative Airplay chart and received a platinum certification in Canada. Meanwhile, the self-titled album sold over 500,000 copies in U.S., earning a gold certification.
After their successful debut, The Head and the Heart released three consecutive number 1 albums. Let’s Be Still, Signs of Light and Living Mirage all topped Billboard’s Top Folk Albums, while two albums entered Billboard 200’s Top 10. The band’s amazing success led to a record deal with Warner Music in 2016, with additional deals with Reprise Records for their two of their latest albums.
